Josh Dazel's work experience begins in 2006 as an Office Administrator for telecom start-up Entrisphere, which was later acquired by Ericsson. In 2006, Josh moves on to become an HR Administrator for Ericsson, eventually transitioning to the role of HR Generalist in 2008, where they support acquisition and integration activities for the establishment of Ericsson Silicon Valley. In 2009, their role expands to be an HR Business Partner for the Broadband Access division, overseeing the entire employee lifecycle and leading acquisition and integration activities for SF Bay Area acquisitions. From 2010 to 2013, Josh becomes a Global HR Business Partner within the IP & Broadband Access division at Ericsson, assuming responsibility for seven global units across multiple countries. They design and implement initiatives related to competence development, culture, leadership talent planning, organizational management, performance management, salary planning, team building, and workforce planning. In 2013, Josh moves on to join Western Union as a Global HR Business Partner, focusing on WU Digital, the online and mobile payments arm of the company. They consult with clients and implement solutions related to culture, employee relations, learning and development, organization design, performance management, talent acquisition, talent management, team building, and workforce planning. In 2016, Josh becomes the Head of Human Resources at Apcera, where they oversee day-to-day operations and the long-term transformation of all HR functions. They partner with senior executive staff and management to provide business counsel, coaching, and solutions related to compensation and benefits, HR compliance, learning and development, performance and rewards, and talent acquisition. Most recently, since 2018, Josh has been a part of the Skai team, initially serving as a Senior Director of Human Resources for the Americas region, overseeing all people functions. They later assume the role of Vice President of Human Resources, leading the Americas HR and recruiting teams, owning all HR functions. They also have global responsibility for developing and implementing programs and infrastructure to support high-growth headcount and revenue targets. They coach and partner with C-level executives to develop strategic initiatives aligned with the company's business objectives.
Josh Dazel (he/him/they) obtained a B.F.A. in Musical Theater from the University of Cincinnati from 1999 to 2003. Later, in 2009, they pursued Human Resources Management at the University of California, Santa Cruz, obtaining a certificate. In 2011 to 2013, they attended the Pepperdine Graziadio Business School, where they earned an MSOD degree in Organization Development. They also completed various certifications, including becoming an Accredited Practitioner at Insights Discovery in 2013 and becoming a Certified Coach at Voices 360 (Korn Ferry) in 2015.
