Dr. Cornelia Henny-Weiss

Dr. Cornelia Henny-Weiss has extensive work experience in various roles within the semiconductor industry. Dr. Cornelia currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer of SKAN AG, where they are responsible for group-wide operations, supply chain management, and trade compliance. Additionally, they manage the operations of SKAN Deutschland GmbH and coordinates the expansion of production sites globally. Prior to joining SKAN AG, Dr. Henny-Weiss held leadership positions at Hitachi ABB Power Grids and ABB, where they oversaw the production of high-power semiconductors and led a successful project to expand the bipolar semiconductor production. Dr. Cornelia also gained experience in fab interface management and front-end-of-line operations at ESPROS Photonics Corporation. Earlier in their career, Dr. Henny-Weiss worked at AMD, where they led a team and contributed to the development of automated test wafer management systems. Dr. Cornelia also completed a PhD thesis in collaboration with Stanford University.

Dr. Cornelia Henny-Weiss earned their Bachelor's degree in Physics from Technische Universität Chemnitz in 1996. Dr. Cornelia then pursued their doctoral studies at Technische Universität Dresden, obtaining a Dr.-Ing. degree in Materials Science in 2003. In 2002, they received additional certification as an Examiner and Thesis Supervisor from BA Bautzen - Berufsakademie Sachsen - Staatliche Studienakademie Bautzen. In 2005, they obtained an IHK Examiner certification from IHK Dresden. In 2014-2015, Dr. Henny-Weiss completed the PPHV Advanced Operational Excellence Program at ABB. In 2019, they received a Chief Digital Officer (Certificate) from RWTH Aachen University. Dr. Cornelia also has additional certifications such as the Swiss Board Diploma 23.2 (expected in 2023) and has provided lectures at the Institut für Materialwissenschaften at Technische Universität Dresden.
