Medet Can Gündüz

Medet Can Gündüz is a community and content manager with a background in design. Medet currently works as a freelance community manager and was previously employed as the Community and Public Relations Manager at -99 design studio / minus99. In this role, they were responsible for managing the online and offline presence of the company, as well as overseeing the content and public relations operation, which included digital platforms such as Medium, social media, and digital press.

As part of being a Sketch Ambassador in Istanbul, Gündüz has organised numerous digital design workshops to bridge the agency with the designer community, while bringing in key speakers from the market. Medet has also launched a social awareness campaign with Turkish Education Volunteers (TEGV) to draw attention to the lack of digital design education across Turkish college programs. This project involved visiting various universities and holding digital design workshops to educate aspiring designers.

Medet Can Gündüz has a Master of Arts (MA) in Digital Media from Goldsmiths, University of London, a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Communication and Media Studies from Marmara University, a Business English Certificate in Advanced Business English from UC San Diego, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Business Administration and Management, General from Marmara University. Medet also has certification from NOTOS literature academy in Creative Writing.

They are on a team with Keir Ansell - Customer Support, Luís Fernandes - Customer Support, and Laura Palombi - Project Management. Their manager is Matt Langdon, COO.
