Melissa Lyons, PSM I, RPPM I, obtained a Bachelor's degree in Theatre Arts with a focus on Technical Theatre, Sociology, and Literature from Pepperdine University, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. Melissa also holds a Highschool Diploma from Sheldon High, which they completed from 1999 to 2003. In addition to their academic qualifications, Melissa has obtained various certifications, including Professional Scrum Master I from Scrum.org in 2019 and Jira Fundamentals Badge from Atlassian in 2022. Melissa has also completed several training programs on topics such as interviewing and hiring, empathy and emotional intelligence, inclusive language, cultural competency, unconscious bias, diversity and inclusion essentials, and ethnic and cultural stereotypes at work.
