Wayne Marr

Wayne Marr has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Wayne started their career as a Sales and Marketing Manager at Visual Communications Ltd, where they managed key accounts and oversaw the delivery of new media services for various clients. Wayne then moved on to work as an Advertising Account Executive at TVNZ, where they managed advertising agencies and clients, negotiating deals and achieving retention targets.

After that, Wayne worked as a Sales and Marketing Manager in a contracting role, followed by a teaching position at Auckland Normal Intermediate, Manurewa West, and Saint Kentigern College, where they utilized educational technology software.

Wayne then joined 3P Learning as the Auckland / Northland Regional Manager, where they were responsible for retention strategies, upselling, and acquiring new business. Wayne received recognition as the top salesperson for two consecutive years and secured a significant deal with OneSchool Global.

Following this, Wayne joined Telco Technology Services Limited (TTS) as the National Sales Manager, leading a national sales team and implementing strategies to drive new business and expand the customer portfolio.

Wayne then returned to 3P Learning as the Sales Manager for New Zealand and Asia, leading and motivating two teams to achieve regional targets by focusing on cross-selling and upselling.

In 2022, Wayne joined EMA as a Business Partner, where they focused on export-related business activities.

Currently, Wayne is the Head of Business Development (APAC) at SkillsVR, an all-in-one virtual reality training solution company. In this role, they are responsible for managing and deploying VR training at scale and driving engagement and learning outcomes.

Throughout their career, Wayne has demonstrated skills in leadership, business development, sales, negotiation, and account management.

Wayne Marr has a Bachelor's Degree in Bachelor of Ministries from Laidlaw College, which they completed from 1996 to 1998. Wayne also has a Graduate Diploma in Teaching Primary from The University of Auckland, which they obtained in 2007. Additionally, Wayne has completed several certifications from LinkedIn, including "Adopting the Habits of Elite Performers" (obtained in 2021), "Coaching Skills for Leaders and Managers" (obtained in 2019), and "Managing Your Time" (obtained in 2019).
