Viktor Morin

Viktor Morin has a diverse and comprehensive work experience in various industries. Viktor is currently working as a Technical Lead Developer at If Insurance since April 2022. Previously, Viktor co-founded Skinfo in 2019, where they served as the CTO. Skinfo is a Swedish company that generates scientific information on skincare and cosmetic products, providing transparency for consumers and e-commerce actors. Before that, they founded their own consultant company called SourceIn in 2017, where they worked as a Software Engineer. The company allowed him to work on interesting projects focusing on problem-solving using various technologies like C#, .NET Core, Azure, Flutter, Power BI, Go-lang, and ASP.

In 2018, Viktor worked as a Software Engineer at Vattenfall, specifically in their R&D team. Here, they focused on using new technologies in smart home solutions and building battery systems to handle capacity shortages in the electricity grid. Their skills in this role included C#, Go-lang, C, IoT, Linux, and RTOS.

Prior to that, Viktor worked at Circassia as a Software Engineer, where they were responsible for a digitization project and building a cross-platform mobile application. Viktor also connected IoT devices to Azure for technical and marketing purposes.

Viktor's prior experience includes working as a Senior System Developer at Snap Out Labs, focusing on building large-scale e-commerce web services. Viktor was also a System Developer at R2M, where they primarily worked on Microsoft technologies, particularly in the e-health sector.

In addition, Viktor has experience as a Manager Software Development at SciBase AB, where they developed a medical device for melanoma detection and was responsible for software development, risk analysis, and software design. Viktor also worked on their Master's thesis at Skåne University Hospital and was a Research Assistant at Karolinska Institutet, where they contributed to DNA extraction and data analysis projects.

Viktor Morin completed their Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) with a specialization in Medical Technology from The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University in the years 2008 to 2012. In 2014, they also attended Blekinge Institute of Technology where they studied Programming and Problem Solving with Python. Additionally, in 2012, Viktor briefly studied Basic Medical Genetics at Uppsala University. Prior to their higher education, they attended Wasaskolan Gymnasium from 2003 to 2005, focusing on a Science curriculum with an ice hockey profile.
