David Travis

David Travis is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in various high-profile positions. Currently serving as Group Secretary and General Counsel at Skipton Building Society since March 2023, David has also held significant roles such as General Counsel and Company Secretary at Bank North and GP Bullhound, as well as Vice President of Legal Risk, Governance & Control (interim) at Barclays. A Council Member and Honorary Secretary of the Manchester Law Society, David serves as the sole representative of the in-house legal community in Greater Manchester. Previous positions include Lead Counsel at Interactive Investor and Senior Legal Counsel at The Co-operative Bank plc. David holds a BA (Hons) in Law with French from The University of Sheffield and has completed the Chartered Secretaries Qualifying Scheme.
