Steven Backman

Steven Backman has extensive experience in the veterinary and agricultural sectors, currently serving as President of both the Charlotte County Hospital Foundation and Magellan Aqua Farms Inc. since May 2008 and June 2003, respectively. Additionally, Steven has held a long-term role as Veterinarian and Product Manager at Skretting since September 1988. Academic qualifications include a Diploma in Anatomical Pathology and Aquatic Diseases from Ontario Veterinary College (1987-1988), a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in Fish Health from the same institution (1983-1987), and a Diploma in Agricultural Science with a focus on Animal Science from Nova Scotia Agricultural College (1980-1982).
