Omun Kwon, Ph.D., is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in electric machine design and engineering. Currently serving as Principal Engineer at Skurka Aerospace since April 2013, Kwon specializes in the design of seamless electric machines for industrial applications. Prior to this role, Kwon worked as a Senior Electro-magnetic Specialist at Pacific Scientific Energetic Materials Company, leading project proposals and electromagnet machine designs, notably high-power permanent magnet generators and synchronous machines for aerospace applications. Kwon also has experience as a Senior Motor Design Engineer at Raser Technologies, focusing on traction motors and electric generator design. Earlier career accomplishments include serving as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and managing projects at Hyosung Corporation. Kwon holds a Ph.D. in Electric Power Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and two degrees in Electrical Engineering from Hanyang University.
