Aaron Ferguson

Aaron Ferguson has worked in a variety of roles in the legal and financial sectors. Aaron began their career in 1991 as Legal Counsel and Marketing Specialist at Efic (Export Finance and Insurance Corporation). In 1997, they moved to Société Générale, where they held the roles of Business Development Executive - RMBS, Senior Legal Counsel and Senior Legal Counsel. In 2008, they joined Standard Chartered Bank, where they held the roles of Managing Director, Legal (Vietnam, Brunei, Nepal, Philippines, Australia & Sri Lanka), Managing Director, Legal Retail, ASEAN & South Asia, Chief Executive Officer, Head Legal & Compliance, Corporate and Institutional Clients, ASEAN and Head of Legal, Derivatives, Sth East Asia. In 2014, they became Director at Humanitarian Organisation for Migration Economics. In 2018, they joined SkyBuys as a Non Executive Director and Newborns Vietnam as an Advisor. Most recently, in 2021, they were appointed Head of Legal, Compliance, Conduct & Financial Crime, APAC at NatWest Markets Plc.

Aaron Ferguson obtained a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing from UNSW between 1985 and 1987. Aaron then obtained a Master of Laws in Finance and Financial Management Services from UNSW. Aaron also obtained certifications from the New York State Bar Association, Duke University, The Law Society of NSW, and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
