Kara Manis

Kara Manis is a seasoned marketing professional with extensive experience in community marketing and customer engagement. Currently serving as a Customer Marketing Manager at Skyhigh Security since March 2023, Kara previously held the position of Director of Advocacy & Strategic Programs at Cengage Learning from May 2016 to 2022, where Kara successfully built a community marketing team that enhanced product adoption and retention through data-driven strategies. Prior to Cengage Learning, Kara worked at Pearson North America from 2008 to 2016, holding various roles including Senior Marketing Manager for Student Communities, where Kara managed a team of over 50 student ambassadors. Early in Kara's career, positions included Technology Consultant and Sales Consultant at Pearson and Senior Manager of Content Sales & Licensing at Conde Nast, where Kara generated revenue from licensing content for various brands. Kara holds a Bachelor of Arts and Science degree in International Affairs and Spanish from Florida State University, earned in 2008.
