Job description

Job Summary: We are seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer to join our team. This role will primarily focus on the overall health and wellness of all student-athletes. The successful candidate will be responsible for injury prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation, ensuring the safety and optimal performance of our athletes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive athletic training services, including injury prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for all student-athletes.
  • Develop and implement personalized conditioning and rehabilitation programs, with a focus on the high school boys basketball team.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all treatments and progress.
  • Collaborate with coaches, parents, and medical professionals to develop and implement effective injury management plans.
  • Provide on-site care during practices and games, including emergency response and first aid.
  • Educate student-athletes, coaches, and parents on proper training techniques, nutrition, and injury prevention strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, as well as school and athletic policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Athletic Training, Kinesiology, or a related field.
  • Current certification by the Board of Certification (BOC) for the Athletic Trainer.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Athletic Trainer in Arizona.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with high school athletes, particularly in basketball, is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and run for extended periods.
  • Capacity to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required.
