Avinash Gonnabattula

Avinash Gonnabattula is a Materials Engineer at Skyroot Aerospace since August 2025, with a rich background in academia and industry. Prior to this, Avinash served as a Prime Minister's Research Fellow and Direct PhD Student at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, where the focus was on Materials Engineering. Experience includes positions as a Guest Researcher at the Steel Institute at RWTH Aachen University, Visiting Faculty at Anna University Chennai and Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, and an educator at Everything Metallurgy, specializing in online mentoring for GATE Metallurgy. Avinash also gained practical experience as a Graduate Engineering Trainee at JSW Steel and Hindustan Zinc, and holds a PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, as well as a BTech in Metallurgical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Raipur.
