Director of Government Affairs at SkySafe

Sam Cook has held various positions in the military and government sectors since 2008. In 2008, they served as Deputy Director of Operations (Deputy Brigade Commander) and Senior Logistics Manager (Support Operations Officer) for the US Army's 89th Sustainment (Logistics) Brigade. From 2010 to 2012, they were a Department Chair (Professor of Military Science) and Graduate Student (Resident) at the University of Maryland. From 2013 to 2016, they held the role of Director, Materiel and Resource Evaluation for the United States Department of Defense. In 2021, they joined CALIBRE Systems, Inc. as a Senior Program Analyst | Management Consultant, and in 2022, they became the Director of Government Affairs for SkySafe.

Sam Cook has a diverse educational background. Sam holds a Master's Degree in Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College, a Master of Science in Administration (MSA) in Leadership from Central Michigan University, a Bachelor of Arts - BA in Criminal Justice from Liberty University, and has completed the Logistics Executive Development Course and Multinational Logistics Course from Army Logistics University - College of Professional and Continuing Education. Additionally, they have obtained certifications from the United States Department of Defense, Project Management Institute, and Scrum Alliance, including a Top Secret / SCI Clearance, Project Management Professional (PMP)®, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), and Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®).
