Lincoln Waddell has extensive work experience in the field of software engineering. Lincoln is currently working as the Director of Engineering at SkySlope since June 2019. In this role, they lead a team of around 30 engineers and managers and is responsible for software delivery for the company's flagship SaaS offering. Lincoln also leads the areas of Data, Machine Learning, and Platform Shared Services. Lincoln has made hands-on contributions to R&D projects utilizing machine learning models and has established SDLC processes for SOC 2 certification. Lincoln has introduced event-based architecture using AWS EventBridge and has worked with various technologies such as .NET, Typescript, Python, SQL Server, MySQL, and MongoDB.

Prior to joining SkySlope, Lincoln worked at Cardlytics as a Technical Director, Software Engineering from March 2018 to July 2019. Before that, they held roles such as Technical Manager and Principal Software Engineer at the same company. Lincoln contributed to shaping the patterns and principles in the organization as a member of the architecture team. Lincoln designed and implemented the offer content publishing system using microservices and automated deployment and testing processes in the team's applications. Lincoln also drove the adoption of TDD and educated others about design patterns.

Lincoln's earlier experience includes working as a .NET Consultant at the Alabama Department of Transportation, where they focused on responsive web development and Oracle PL/SQL stored procedures. Lincoln also served as an Adjunct Instructor at Faulkner University and gained experience as a Programmer Analyst and Programmer at the Alabama Department of Human Resources and Alabama Department of Youth Services, respectively. In these roles, they worked with technologies such as C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, Visual Basic .NET, and SQL Server.

Lincoln Waddell pursued higher education, starting in 2004 at Faulkner University. From 2004 to 2007, they focused on their undergraduate studies, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Information Systems. Following this, they attended Auburn University at Montgomery from 2007 to 2009 to further their education. During their time there, they obtained a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Information Systems.
