Jon Ziefle

Jon Ziefle has a diverse work experience spanning various companies and roles. Jon is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at SkySpecs since April 2022. Prior to this, Jon worked at MetLife from 2015 to 2022, where they held multiple positions including Software Development Engineer II, Software Development Engineer, and Associate Software Development Engineer. During their time at MetLife, they played a technical lead role in the development of their marketing and brand website, and was involved in various projects related to rebranding, user experience enhancement, and website development.

Before joining MetLife, Jon worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Expression Analysis in 2014, where they focused on improving code quality and refactoring scripts. Jon also interned as an Energy Engineer at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2014, conducting building energy audits and providing project oversight.

Jon's earlier experiences include working as a CPE Engineer at Cummins Inc. in 2012, where they performed testing and calibration of diesel engines, and as an Energy Engineer Intern at the NC Clean Energy Technology Center from 2011 to 2012, where they designed testing stands and procedures for solar thermal systems.

Prior to that, Jon worked as a Structural Engineer at AREVA NP from 2007 to 2011, where they performed piping stress analysis and wrote detailed engineering reports. Overall, Jon Ziefle's work experience demonstrates proficiency in software engineering, energy engineering, and structural engineering.

Jon Ziefle has completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at Oregon State University. Jon also holds a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University and another Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Virginia. Additionally, they have obtained certification as an Engineer-In-Training (EIT) from the NCEES institution.
