Alain has been working for over 30 years in the Aerospace industry and brings diverse professional experience with prior positions in Design, Test, Conception, Production, Sales, and After-Sales Support. Alain has strong expertise in Transformation Management through technical, industrial, and IT processes redesign, and has built a keen focus towards economic model disruption induced by technological shifts. Alain strongly believes that technology and industrial businesses are currently underusing their digital capital to improve operational performance and to develop new services opportunities based on core products.

Previously to SkyThread, Alain was a Senior Partner at Cognitive Companions, specializing in Aerospace, Defense, Automotive, and complex international industrial projects. Before Cognitive Companions, Alain was a Senior Vice-President at Seabury Consulting, a firm that specialized in Aerospace and Air Transportation consulting. Before joining Seabury, Alain was Chief Executive Officer of Aeroconseil, an aeronautics engineering service provider specializing in flight physics, systems engineering modifications, asset management, and continuous airworthiness. Alain has also served in multiple executive roles at Airbus. He was Senior Vice President, Head of Concurrent Engineering, reporting to the Executive Vice President of Airbus Operations and in charge of all methods and systems necessary for the design and the manufacturing of aircraft assemblies and components. Prior to this, Alain was Vice President in charge of the “Number ONE” program where he implemented improvements to Airbus Customer Support. He also acted as the EADS Group Vice President for Merger Integration from 2000 to 2002, where he focused on initiatives and projects to support EADS Merger Value Creation. Through his career, Alain has enjoyed working on a global scale and has experience working in America and Asia (in addition to Europe,) with a prominent 2-year assignment in Japan.

Alain was awarded the French National Order of Merit in recognition of his achievement in the Aerospace Industry. He is an aeronautical engineer by training and a private pilot, and he is passionate about ethnology, the history of writing (especially of Chinese Characters,) and rugby.
