Poonam Bhargava

Poonam Bhargava currently serves as the Global FinOps Lead and Principal in Global Business Advisory Services at Slalom, beginning in April 2021. Prior to this role, Poonam worked at UnitedHealth Group for over eight years, where notable positions included Director of Technology Operations and Portfolio Management and Associate Director of Portfolio Management at Optum. Poonam successfully oversaw initiatives to modernize healthcare technology platforms and led multimillion-dollar projects, significantly improving customer satisfaction through a Net Promoter Score program. Poonam's earlier experience includes senior consulting roles with a focus on software development and project management across various organizations, including Indiana University Bloomington and Software Superheroes LLC. Poonam holds a dual MSIS/MBA degree from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business, as well as a Master of Computer Applications from Birla Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Rajasthan.
