UI Engineer at Sledgehammer Games

David Mediati has a diverse work experience in the gaming and software development industry. David is currently working as a UI Engineer at Sledgehammer Games since October 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Game Programmer at Square Enix Montreal from May 2020 to October 2022. Before that, they had a brief role as a Game Programmer at Square Enix Montreal from September 2019 to December 2019. David also worked as an Infrastructure Developer at Ubisoft from January 2019 to April 2019 and as a Programmer AI at Ubisoft from May 2018 to August 2018.

Before entering the gaming industry, David gained experience as a Programmer at Ford Motor Company from September 2017 to December 2017. During their time there, they wrote part of an API to extend the functionality of an existing system and conducted unit tests and functional tests for the API. David also wrote scripts to automatically run the functional tests.

In addition, David worked as a Game Programmer at Behaviour Interactive in January 2017 to April 2017, where they designed and implemented various meta game features and systems, including achievements, leveling, challenges, rewards, and a collection system. David also created the parallax system for a 2D game and implemented audio cues and language localization.

David started their career as a Game Programming Intern at Behaviour Interactive from May 2016 to August 2016. In this role, they were involved in a wide range of programming tasks related to UI, server-side interaction, optimization, and gameplay. David also tested and ensured the efficiency and functionality of the code and collaborated with different development teams in an agile work environment.

From 2015 to 2020, David Mediati attended the University of Waterloo, where they pursued a degree in Computer Software Engineering.
