Paul Mele

Paul Mele has extensive work experience in various leadership roles. Paul is currently a Senior Advisor at McChrystal Group, starting in June 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Chapter President at SLEEP IN HEAVENLY PEACE INC starting in August 2019. From September 2017 to September 2020, they were the Commander Army ROTC and University Department Head at Virginia Tech. Additionally, Paul Mele has held roles such as Chief Of Staff at 1st Cavalry Division from August 2015 to August 2017, Commander - Aviation Brigade at 7th Infantry Division from July 2013 to July 2015, and Chief Operations Officer at Army Special Operations Aviation Command from July 2011 to July 2012. Paul also served as Commander - Attack Aviation Battalion at 1st Infantry Division from December 2008 to July 2011.

Paul Mele attended the Virginia Military Institute from 1985 to 1989, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Paul then went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at Virginia Tech, which they completed from 1989 to 1991. In 2004 and 2005, Paul attended the U.S. Naval War College and obtained a Master of Arts degree in National Security and Strategic Studies. Finally, in 2012 and 2013, they attended The United States Army War College and earned a Master of Arts degree in National Security and Strategic Studies.
