Sunil Thomas

Sunil Thomas currently serves as the Senior Director of Cell Biology and Immunology at Slingshot Biosciences since September 2022, focusing on advanced cell therapy techniques. Prior to this role, Sunil held multiple positions at CERo Therapeutics, Inc. from November 2018 to October 2022, including Principal Scientist and Senior Scientist, where efforts were concentrated on enhancing T cell therapies for tumor targeting. Between 2010 and November 2018, Sunil was a Senior Research Scientist at the University of Washington - School of Medicine, leading a team that investigated genetic diversity in innate viral responses. Previous roles include Staff Scientist at the Center for Infectious Disease Research and various positions at the University of Washington, as well as an extensive academic background as a PhD student at the Indian Institute of Science. Sunil holds a PhD in Immunology from the Indian Institute of Science and an MSc in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda.
