Hazel Douglas

Associate Ecologist

Hazel Douglas is an experienced ecologist with a robust background in ecological assessments and mitigation projects, currently serving as an Associate Ecologist and formerly as a Senior Ecologist at SLR Consulting since May 2013. Hazel has worked on various projects, including energy developments and housing schemes, and has conducted extensive habitat and protected species surveys for species such as bats and great crested newts. Previous roles include serving as an Ecological Researcher at the SURE Scheme, University of Sheffield, focusing on floodplain habitat restoration, and as an Animal Care and Rehabilitation Assistant at the Vervet Monkey Foundation. Hazel began with a solid foundation as a Laboratory Technician at LGC Forensics. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Biology from The University of Sheffield and A Levels from The Henley College.
