Jan Bäckström

Jan B. is a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in both military and technical fields. Currently serving as a pilot and commissioned officer in the United States Air Force since April 2013, Jan B. is recognized as the sole systems expert on a multi-billion dollar intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance aircraft, executing critical troubleshooting under tight timelines for national security missions. Prior to this, Jan B. worked as a lighting technician for Royal Caribbean from November 2009 to March 2011, where responsibilities included operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting lighting and special effects equipment across multiple venues while effectively communicating with diverse cultures. Jan B. holds an MBA/MS in Information Systems from the University of Utah and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Technical Theatre/Theatre Design and Technology from Texas State University.
