Andrew O.

Andrew O. has extensive experience in the field of information and cybersecurity, with a career spanning over 25 years. Andrew is currently the Group Security Officer at Ooredoo Group. Prior to this, they were the Chief Operations Officer at SLVA Cybersecurity, where they demonstrated expertise in information and cybersecurity, governance and controls, program management, MSSP advisory, and people management. Additionally, they founded OdendaalConsulting and held the positions of Founder and CISO, as well as Chief Information Officer at National Employee Benefits Administrators, Inc. Andrew has also held various leadership roles in cybersecurity at MTN, Faritec, 4FrontSecurity, and eTechSecurity.

Andrew O. began their education at Hugenot High School Wellington from 1989 to 1993. Andrew did not obtain any degree or field of study during this period. In 2002, they received certification as a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA. In 2010, they obtained certification in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) from the same institution. From 2011 to 2020, they obtained certification as a Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) and Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE) from ISACA. In 2009, Andrew pursued a course in Business Administration and Management, General known as Harvard ManageMentor (HMM) at the Harvard Business School Executive Education. In 2011, they obtained a Mini Telecoms Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the School of Telecoms Management. Recently, Andrew went on to receive additional certifications in different fields like Grow Your Impact as a Mentor from LinkedIn, Seceon Inc. logo Certified Professional For aiXDR, aiMSSP and aiSIEM MITRE ATTACK & SOAR, and ALIENVAULT USM Advanced Deployment.
