Small Giants Recruiting is representing a leading contracting company located in the Valley who is seeking a Marketing Director to join their firm. The core duties will include various aspects of marketing for a mid-sized firm with multiple offices. We’re looking for a dynamic marketing professional who will partner with their executives to take ownership of our marketing needs at a strategic level, developing initiatives and tactics for both marketing and business development teams. This position allows a marketing professional with A/E/C experience to diversify with a growing company, leading the efforts in all aspects of marketing, including creating corporate marketing strategies, event planning and execution, oversight of marketing materials, and supporting business development efforts as the firm grows.

Summary of main responsibilities:

  • Collaborates directly with the business development team and company principals to advance key company initiatives.

  • Establishes marketing programs, policies, and procedures.

  • Is responsible for smooth execution of all marketing functions.

  • Directs preparation of marketing plan and carries strategic influence on the substance of the plan to achieve business development goals.

  • Event planning for all internal and external events, conferences, trade shows, client events, parties, etc.

  • Develops marketing budget and reports on marketing program activities and achievements to firm ownership.

  • Ensures that marketing goals are accomplished and deadlines are met.

  • Directs training of support and technical staff on marketing-related issues.

  • Directs activities of specialized consultants, such as media buys, advertising placements and design, public relations, and marketing services.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, other related major.
  • Minimum of five to eight years of marketing and proposal experience in the commercial construction, AEC industry or closely related field
  • Accurate and consistent with amazing attention to detail
  • Strong follow-through skills and ability to meet strict tight deadlines
  • Ability to create systems and processes, and seek out additional responsibilities, knowledge of the A/E/C industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with strategic plan development and EOS tracking software
  • Quick self-starter, team-oriented, positive attitude, and able to work with different personalities and professional styles
