Sebastian Arias

Sebastian Arias has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Sebastian began their career in 1997 as a Technical Support responsible for corporate clients at UOL SINECTIS. Sebastian then moved on to AT&T LATIN AMERICA / TELMEX, where they served as a Project Leader and was responsible for IT Security for Latin America from 2000 to 2005. Afterward, they joined Dasso & Schapira Law Firm as a Junior Attorney for Bankruptcy and Corporate Law, where they handled corporate and bankruptcy cases under the supervision of the main partner.

In 2006, Arias became a Senior Attorney for Criminal Law and Corporate Criminal Law at Bozio & Casco Law Firm. Sebastian advised enterprises on legal frameworks and helped prevent potential criminal lawsuits. Sebastian also handled negotiation and criminal litigation cases. From 2007 to 2015, Arias worked for Arias Abogados Law Firm as a Partner, specializing in Corporate Law. Sebastian provided legal advice, collaborated on contract drafting and negotiations, and defended clients in criminal cases.

Additionally, Arias worked as an Independent International Lawyer in 2019, assisting start-ups and enterprises with contracts and labor relationships. Sebastian also collaborated with Czech colleagues on corporate and labor law matters.

In 2019, Arias joined Honeywell as a Compliance Manager, where they advised business leadership on compliance issues globally. Sebastian provided trainings on anti-corruption policies, codes of conduct, and sales intermediaries tools. Sebastian also proposed improvements to the compliance program.

Currently, Arias works at Small World Financial Services as Head of Compliance for Southern Europe & Latam. Prior to this role, they served as Compliance Officer and Money Laundering Reporting Officer for the same company. Sebastian'sresponsibilities included ensuring compliance with local and European legal frameworks, conducting trainings, and advising the business leadership.

Throughout their career, Sebastian Arias has gained extensive experience in compliance, corporate law, criminal law, and IT security. Sebastian has a strong background in advising businesses and ensuring legal compliance.

Sebastian Arias has a diverse education history in the field of law. In 2006, they obtained their Law Degree from Jobs in Argentina. Sebastian later pursued a Master's degree in Business and Corporate Law from Austral University in 2008-2009. In 2015-2016, Sebastian completed a Master of International Relations at Universidad CEU San Pablo. Sebastian then attended Universidad Internacional de La Rioja (UNIR) from 2020-2021 to obtain their Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree. Currently, they are pursuing a Master of Access to the Legal Profession at the same institution, which they are expected to complete in 2023. Sebastian has also obtained various certifications, including Abogado from Ilustre Colegio de la Abogacía de Madrid and Examen de Estado para el ejercicio de la abogacia from Ministerio de Justicia, both in 2023. Prior to these certifications, they became an Abogado Colegiado from Colegio de Abogados in 2006 and an Advokat from Ceská Advokátní Komora in 2019. Sebastian also completed the Programa de Prevención de Lavado de Dinero, Transparencia y Financiamiento del Terrorismo (AML) specialization at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella.
