Joe Pope

Joe Pope has worked in the Human Resources and Communications fields since 2014. Joe began their career at Skills Team as a Learning & Development Assessor, where they organized, facilitated, and delivered a training program to up to 120 employees across multiple business sectors in London. Joe then moved to Mash Direct in 2016 as a PR & Communications Executive, where they built and maintained relationships with clients, journalists, key stakeholders and other departments, and wrote engaging and informative copy and content for multi-platform campaigns. In 2018, Joe took on the role of People and Culture Manager at popchips, where they were responsible for managing HR software, personnel records, sickness and holiday tracking, and organizing performance reviews. From 2019 to 2022, Joe worked at Livi as an HR Business Partner, Global Diversity & Inclusion & Sustainability Manager (Interim), and HR Generalist. During this time, they helped to build the UK team from 17 to over 100 employees, cultivated UK culture, and set-up onboarding and people processes. Currently, Joe is a Senior People & Culture Partner at Smarkets.

Joe Pope has a diverse educational background. Joe obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Drama/Theatre Arts and Stagecraft from the University of Lincoln in 2013. After that, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Acting from Arts Educational Schools London in 2014. Most recently, they have been working towards a Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General.
