Kevin Keenan

Kevin Keenan, Ph.D has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Kevin began their career at Halifax in 2007, where they worked in customer service. In 2015, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at University College Cork, Ireland (UCC), focusing on research. Kevin then transitioned to a role as a Security Content Data Scientist at Alert Logic, where they worked from 2015 to 2018. In 2018, they joined State Street as the Lead Data Scientist, VP, and worked there until 2019. In the same year, they became the Director of Data Science at Digital Reasoning. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Director, Data Science at Smarsh since November 2019.

Kevin Keenan, Ph.D has a strong education background in computational population and evolutionary genetics. Kevin obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology (Hons) with a focus on ecology and evolutionary biology from Queen's University Belfast in the period of 2005-2009. Later, they pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Computational Population and Evolutionary genetics from the same university during 2010-2015. Additionally, Kevin has also obtained various certifications in the field of data science and analytics, including "Practical Data Science with AWS Sagemaker" from Amazon Web Services (AWS), "Large Language Models (LLMs) Concepts" from DataCamp, and several others.
