Christian Odaker

Christian Odaker has a diverse and extensive work experience in the technology industry. Christian is currently employed at Smart Reporting GmbH as the CTO, a role they started in January 2023. Prior to this, they were the VP Engineering at the same company from May to December 2022.

Before joining Smart Reporting, Christian worked at a stealth startup from July 2020 to December 2021 as a Medical Technology Executive. Christian then joined Heidelberg Engineering in May 2019 as the Head of Research & Development and a Member of the Management Board, a role they held until June 2020.

Christian also has a history with ESI Group, where they held various positions. From February 2018 to April 2019, they served as the Director of R&D Immersive Scenario Validation, Solutions, and Components. Before that, from April 2015 to January 2018, they were the Director of R&D Immersive Experience.

Prior to ESI Group, Christian worked at ESI Software Germany GmbH. Christian started as a Senior Software Developer in April 2012 and later became a Team Leader from May 2013 to March 2015. In these roles, they focused on visualization-related projects and the development of a sustainable business-aligned roadmap.

Earlier in their career, Christian worked at Ubisoft Blue Byte from October 2010 to March 2012 as a Senior Graphics Programmer, responsible for graphics effects and visual appearance in game development. Christian also gained experience at Realtime Technology AG (RTT AG) from June 2006 to September 2010. At RTT AG, they held the position of Lead Software Engineer for Visualization from May 2009 to September 2010, and before that, they were a (Senior) Software Engineer for Visualization from June 2006 to April 2009.

Christian Odaker obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences from Johannes Kepler Universität Linz in 1999, which they completed in 2002. Subsequently, they pursued a Doctorate in Technical Sciences (Dr.techn.) in the field of Computer Sciences at the same institution, completing it in 2005.
