Sugam Patel has extensive experience in the energy and electrical engineering industry. They have held roles such as Director of Product Development & Management at Smart Wires Inc., Global Product Manager at Hitachi ABB Power Grids and ABB, Asset Engineer at TransBayCable LLC, and Transmission Planning Engineer at American Electric Power. Their career began as an Intern at Electric Power Research Institute, and they have progressed through various technical and managerial positions over the years.

Sugam Patel completed a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2007. Following this, they obtained a Master of Science in Engineering from Mississippi State University in 2010.
