Gary Petty

Gary Petty serves as Chief Risk Officer and has more than twenty years of experience in the financial industry. Prior to joining SmartBank, Gary served as Cornerstone Community Bank’s Chief Operating Officer and Cornerstone Bancshares Inc. Chief Financial Officer. He received his undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Georgia and a Master of Accountancy degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Gary is an avid runner and enjoys participating in marathons and Ironman Competitions.
