Gize Bonilla

Gize Bonilla has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. They began their career as a Designer and Web Developer, working as a freelancer from 2008 to 2009. In 2009, they held multiple roles, including Head of Design, Advertising, and Logistics at BJX Bajio Fashion, and Designer and Head of Production at Red Latinoamericana.

From 2009 to 2010, Bonilla worked at Azul Magenta, where they performed animation and video game programming, as well as production for an interactive DVD.

In 2013, Bonilla joined The Hybrid Group as a UI/UX Frontend Developer, and in 2014, they worked as a UX/UI Front-End Developer at Diverza Información y Análisis and INNKU.

In 2015, Bonilla joined Masada Software as a UX/UI Frontend Developer and later joined SmartBiz Loans as a Frontend Developer. At SmartBiz Loans, they quickly progressed to the role of Tech Lead and later Staff Software Engineer. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Engineering Manager at SmartBiz Loans.

Between 2010 and 2016, Bonilla also worked as a UI/UX Lead Designer and Front-End Developer at Nebula Ideas.

Gize Bonilla attended Universidad Iberoamericana León from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained a degree in Lic. Diseño Digital Interactivo with a focus on Diseño y Desarrollo Web. They have also obtained various certifications, including "Leading at a Distance," "Learning the OWASP Top 10 (2018)," "Managing Teams," "OWASP Top 10: #1 Injection and #2 Broken Authentication," "OWASP Top 10: #3 Sensitive Data Exposure and #4 External Entities (XXE)," "OWASP Top 10: #5 Broken Access Control and #6 Security Misconfiguration," "OWASP Top 10: #7 XSS and #8 Insecure Deserialization," "OWASP Top 10: #9 Components with Known Vulnerabilities and #10 Insufficient Logging and Monitoring," and "Managing High Performers." These certifications were obtained from LinkedIn, with the most recent certification being "Leading at a Distance" achieved in March 2022.
