Christopher Mcglone

Christopher McGlone is the Chief Operating Officer for Sharp Community, the largest IPA in San Diego County and one of the largest in the state of California with over 130,000 managed care lives. Christopher joined Sharp Community in 1993 and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the medical group, including Claims, Eligibility, Encounters, Network Management, Customer Service, Marketing & Communications, Contracts, and Business Development.

While at Sharp Community, Christopher successfully guided the group through tremendous growth while implementing automated processes in the areas of claims, eligibility, encounters, member services, and capitation. He was instrumental in leading Sharp Community to profitability via the development of innovative capitation programs for physicians and ancillary providers. He was the executive sponsor for Sharp Community’s electronic health record (EHR) and practice management (PM) system implementation.

Christopher serves on the Board of Directors of “ICE”, the Healthcare Industry Collaborative Effort, and served for over ten years on the board of APG, America’s Physician Groups (previously CAPG).

Christopher received a Masters of Business Administration from the University of San Diego and has over thirty years of experience in the medical, health care, and insurance industries, and has held management positions at FHP Healthcare and Progressive Insurance.
