Shafeen Charania

Shafeen Charania has a wealth of experience in the business and education sectors. Shafeen began their career at Microsoft in 1994, where they held various senior management roles in Unified Communications Marketing, Platform Communications, and other groups. In 2010, they became the President of both 21K12 LLC and Synthesism LLC. At 21K12 LLC, they developed inverted classroom solutions for public and private school systems, and at Synthesism LLC, they provided business and marketing strategy consulting services. In 2012, they joined the Bellevue Family YMCA as a Board Member, the Health and Healing Network as an Advisory Board Member, and ChangePartner Healthcare, Inc. as the Chief Operating Officer. In 2013, they were appointed as a Lecturer at the University of Washington, Michael G. Foster School of Business and as Principal at FactorX LLC. In 2014, they became the Board Chair at High Tech High Graduate School of Education. Finally, in 2015, they Co-Founded and became the COO of SmartGames Ltd., which brings excellent preschool learning content to Asian families.

Shafeen Charania attended the University of Waterloo from 1981 to 1986 and obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering.
