Carien Hartzenberg

Carien Hartzenberg began their work experience as a Payroll Consultant at Sage VIP Payroll from April 2004 to July 2007. Carien then worked as a Sr. Test Analyst at EOH from July 2007 to March 2011. Following that, they joined Sage as a Test Analyst from March 2011 to April 2014. Carien then transitioned to the role of Automation Specialist at Sage from April 2014 to February 2019. Carien then moved to Derivco, where they held the position of Senior Software Quality Engineer from February 2019 to March 2022, during which they were responsible for creating and maintaining automation tests. Prior to transitioning to Derivco and their current role, they were a Software Development Engineer in Test at Derivco from March 2022 to May 2022. Carien is currently working as the Lead Software Automation Test Engineer at SmartLockr, where they lead the Test Engineering team and focuses on automation.

Carien Hartzenberg completed their Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Finance and Financial Management Services from the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria. Carien attended this university from 1999 to 2003. In addition to their degree, they obtained two certifications. In July 2019, they received the Advanced Automation Engineer certification from the ISTQB Certification Institute. In October 2021, they obtained the Advanced Design Patterns: Design Principles certification from LinkedIn.
