Stan Eskridge

EVP, Strategy at SmartSky Networks

Stan Eskridge has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several decades. Stan co-founded and served as EVP of Strategy at SmartSky Networks, a next-generation aviation communications provider. Stan was responsible for employing proprietary technology to enable advanced, high-bandwidth, IP-based data communications to and from en route aircraft.

Prior to that, Eskridge co-founded Entegrion, Inc., a company focused on technologies for hemostasis and advanced wound management. As the President/CEO, they developed strategies for corporate development and capital formation programs, managed ongoing research and product development programs, and formed international relationships to incorporate global expertise and support pending products.

Stan also worked as an independent consultant at C I Service, Inc., providing insight, organizational expertise, and strategic planning for diverse organizations. Stan assisted venture-funded businesses in analyzing product potential, developing market contacts, and developing business and implementation plans.

Earlier in their career, Eskridge served as Interim CEO at Stimulus Technologies, Inc., where they assisted an early-stage IT company in exploring potential markets and initiating customer operations. Stan also served as the Founder and President of InteractiVisions, Inc., where they identified and licensed a technology platform created by AT&T Bell Laboratories and Disney and formed strategic relationships that led to implementations of technology at Walt Disney World and other theme parks.

Additionally, Eskridge was the President of DataPix Publishing, Inc., where they organized the company, identified and secured appropriate electronic publishing technology, and developed a service program for manufacturers and design firms in the home furnishings industry.

Stan also founded and served as President of Systems Craft, Inc., a company that developed affordable, well-built housing in partnership with an international insurer. Stan identified technology, arranged for supply, developed logistic resources, worked with insurer-sponsored local builders, and expanded the market to US operations.

Furthermore, Eskridge founded and served as President of The Aviation Group, Inc., a company that provided turn-key aircraft operating services to freight companies competing with FedEx. Stan identified and acquired a proprietary license for converting aircraft into cargo-door equipped freighters and secured substantial investment from venture and institutional resources.

Earlier in their career, Eskridge served as VP of Sales at Raleigh-Durham Aviation, Inc., where they managed a national sales program for executive and personal aircraft and developed specialized programs for providing turn-key aircraft operations for corporate clients.

Stan began their career as a Sales Manager at Cardinal Airlines, Inc., where they led the development of a regional sales and support program for Cessna aircraft and managed used aircraft acquisition, resale, and brokerage activities.

Stan Eskridge attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1961 to 1965. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (AB) degree in English and Chemistry.
