Nuno Matias

Nuno Matias has held various influential roles in governance, economics, and public service. Currently, Nuno serves as an Administrator Não Executivo at SMAS de Almada and occupies multiple positions at Câmara Municipal de Almada, including Vereador responsible for Tourism, Markets, Green Spaces, and Cemeterial Services, as well as for Environment, Energy, and Green Spaces since October 2017. Additional leadership includes Vice-President of the Board at Instituto Francisco Sá Carneiro and a Chief in the Oil Reserves Unit at Entidade Nacional para o Setor Energético. Nuno has significant experience in municipal governance as a former Deputado Municipal and member of several parliamentary commissions. Nuno's career also includes media contributions as a commentator for Diário Económico, and a lengthy tenure in the insurance sector with VICTORIA Seguros. Nuno Matias holds a Licentiate degree in Economics from ISEG - Lisbon School of Economics & Management, obtained between 1996 and 2002.
