Rachel Slafsky

Rachel Slafsky currently serves as the Laboratory Manager and Quality Assurance Supervisor at S&ME, where responsibilities include supervising various laboratory tests, managing equipment calibration and maintenance, authoring materials testing reports, training technicians, and overseeing laboratory audits. Previously, Rachel worked as a Chemistry and Math Tutor, assisting high school and middle school students. Rachel also gained research experience as an undergraduate at Virginia Tech, contributing to the TreeHAUS Project focused on regenerative housing solutions, and as a research assistant in the VT FIRE Advanced Materials Foundry. Rachel holds a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering from Virginia Tech.
