Andreas Hug

Andreas Hug has extensive work experience in user experience design and creative direction. Andreas most recently held the position of Senior Principal User Experience Designer at an SME, starting in October 2022. Prior to that, they served as a Principal User Experience Designer at Nutrien from March 2022 to September 2022. Andreas has also worked as a Director of User Experience Design at Symmetri Marketing Group from February 2021 to February 2022, and as a Senior User Experience Architect at MRM from September 2020 to February 2021. Earlier in their career, they held various roles including User Experience Manager at KATERRA from September 2019 to August 2020, User Experience Design Manager at Hagerty (U.S.) from August 2017 to July 2019, and Creative Director at The Moholy-Nagy Foundation, Inc. from May 2012 to December 2017. Andreas has also worked as a part-time faculty member at Washtenaw Community College from September 1997 to May 2016. Andreas has a range of experience in lead and senior user experience designer positions at Perficient Digital and ProQuest respectively.

Andreas Hug pursued a Bachelor's degree in Art History and Photography/New Media from Eastern Michigan University from 1992 to 1995. Later, from 2002 to 2004, Andreas attended the Illinois Institute of Technology, where they completed a Master's degree in Human-Centered Communication Design (UXD). In addition, Andreas obtained a Membership Certificate from the Interaction Design Foundation (IxDF) in 2022.
