Jarrett Emslie

Jarrett Emslie has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles.

In 2008, Emslie worked as a Motion Graphics Designer at IKS Media. From 2010 to 2014, they held the position of Corporate Solutions Consultant at Apple Inc., where they were responsible for overseeing the sales, merchandising, and operations of an Apple Store-in-a-Store.

In 2012, Emslie worked in Tradeshow Marketing at tentree. Jarrett then joined Get Hummered in 2014 as a Marketing Manager and Social Media Administrator, where they managed social media and website content, created marketing campaigns, monitored analytics, and developed promotional materials.

From 2015 to 2020, Emslie worked as a Correctional Officer for the Government of Saskatchewan. During this time, they gained experience in maintaining security and order within a correctional facility.

In 2019, Emslie worked as a Freelance Designer/Operator at Alpha Digital Solutions, providing a range of freelance services in digital media fields such as social media marketing and web design for various clients.

In 2020, Emslie joined sMedia, first as an Ad Operations Assistant, then as a Product Manager in Ad Operations. Jarrett briefly served as a Chief Of Staff and later became the Chief Operating Officer. Starting in 2022, they are currently working as the Chief Technology Officer at the company.

Additionally, in 2020, Emslie worked as a Programmer Analyst at SaskTel, where they performed data migration and used Python to implement security measures. Since 2015, they have also been involved in owning and operating rental properties under Emslie Holdings.

Jarrett Emslie's education history begins in 2009 when they attended Saskatchewan Polytechnic and obtained a Certificate in New Media Communications. Jarrett then pursued higher education at the University of Regina, starting in 2010, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. In 2019, they returned to Saskatchewan Polytechnic and completed a Business Information Systems Diploma between 2019 and 2021.

In addition to their formal education, Jarrett Emslie has obtained several certifications. Jarrett received an AITP (Associate Information Technology Professional) Certification from CIPS (Canada's Association of I.T. Professionals) in August 2021. Jarrett also completed multiple online courses and obtained certifications in topics such as Design Thinking: Data Intelligence from LinkedIn in March 2021, Social Media Marketing: Strategy and Optimization from LinkedIn in January 2021, and various data-related courses from DataCamp such as Data Literacy Fundamentals, Data Science for Business, Introduction to Power BI, Data Scientist with Python, Cleaning Data in Python, Data Engineering for Everyone, Data Manipulation with pandas, Data Visualization for Everyone, Exploratory Data Analysis in Python, Intermediate Data Visualization with Seaborn, Intermediate Importing Data in Python, and Intermediate Python. Furthermore, they achieved certifications in Google products such as Google Analytics 4 Certification in May 2023, Introduction to Data Studio in October 2020, Google Analytics for Beginners in September 2020, Google Ads Search Certification in August 2020, and Google Ads Display Certification in August 2020.
