Shama Rashid

Shama Rashid has a strong background in software engineering and data analysis. Shama joined sMedia in 2021 as a Sr. Software Engineer. Prior to that, they worked at Codesurfer from 2019 to 2021, also as a Sr. Software Engineer. In 2018, they held the role of Sr. Data Analyst at Provincial Health Services Authority. From 2015 to 2018, they served as an Engineering Lead at a company called ODDUU, where they provided affordable IT enabled services, including zero client virtualization desktop and billing automation system. Shama's earliest work experience was at HootSuite, where they worked as a Business Intelligence Engineer from 2012 to 2014. In this role, they analyzed, assessed, and devised BI implementation strategies, designed architecture, deployed and maintained BI solutions, and worked on various projects including Daily Active Users, Enterprise User Mining, and a BI Dashboard.

Shama Rashid completed their M.Sc. in Computer Science at The University of British Columbia in 2012. Prior to that, they obtained their B.Sc. Engg. in Computer Science and Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology in 2004.
