Dennis Odera

Dennis Odera has worked in various roles since 2009. Dennis began their career as an IT Manager at Walkgard Hotel, followed by a Research Assistant position at Africa Mental Health Foundation in 2012. In 2013, they took on the role of Pupil at Rachuonyo & Rachuonyo Advocates, followed by Business Development at bidorbuy.co.ke in 2014. In the same year, they also worked as an Intern at Tanzania Social Action Fund. From 2015 to 2018, they were an Africa Business Manager and Africa Business Co-ordinator at Wefarm. During this time, they also held a Business Development Manager role at Surf Kenya. In 2019, they were VP - Commercial and Commercial & Growth at Africa's Talking. Most recently, in 2021, they began their current role as VP - Commercial at Smile Identity.

Dennis Odera is currently enrolled in the University of California, Berkeley, where they are studying Marketing Analytics: Competitive Analysis & Market Segmentation. Previously, they obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) in 2014, where they studied Corporate and Commercial Law. Dennis holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from The Catholic University of Eastern Africa, which they obtained in 2011 after studying Law from 2007 to 2011. In 2006, they obtained a Diploma in Business Information Technology from Strathmore University, where they studied Information Technology. In addition, they hold a Meet Google Cloud Sales Credential from Google, which they obtained in June 2021, and a PRINCE 2 certification from APMG-International, which they obtained in July 2011.
