Engelbert Kengne has a strong background in marine engineering, with experience working for multiple companies. ENGELBERT began their career in 2010 at SEACOR MARINE as a Second Engineer, where they focused on overhauling engines, pumps, fuel injectors, hydraulic valves, and fuel oil purifiers. ENGELBERT also performed maintenance on winch breaks and valves. In 2011, they moved to Tidewater Marine as a Marine Engineer, continuing their work in overhauling and maintenance. In 2013, they joined ABC Maritime AG as a Second Engineer, applying their skills in major overhauling and maintenance. Since 2014, they have been working at Smit Lamnalco, initially as a Second Engineer and later as a Chief Engineer. In these roles, they have been responsible for ensuring the safe operation of vessels, leading and instructing crews on safety protocols, and overseeing maintenance and operations in the engineering department.
Engelbert Kengne's education history begins in 1998, when they attended the Lycee Technique de Bafoussam and obtained their GCE A Level certification in mathematics and technology. After that, in 2014, they enrolled in the Regional Maritime University and received a Class 2/1 in Marine Engineering degree. In the same year, they also obtained a Class 2 in Marine Engineering Unlimited from the same institution.
Later, in 2021, Engelbert Kengne enrolled at the Regional Maritime University once again, this time pursuing a degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. ENGELBERT completed this program in 2022.
In addition to their educational qualifications, they also obtained a certification as a Class 1 Marine Engineer Officer Unlimited from the Ghana Maritime Authority in June 2022.
