Dzung Tran

Dzung Tran is a technology leader with extensive experience in software and systems engineering, currently serving as Vice President and CTO at Smith Micro Software, Inc. since February 2007. In this role, Dzung Tran directs technology research, industry standards adoption, advanced analytics, and cloud technology for wireless mobile security products. Previous positions include Vice President of Research and Development, where Dzung Tran oversaw the development of secure mobile traffic management solutions, and Vice President of Product Management, focusing on product strategy for the Wireless business unit. Dzung Tran co-founded Ecutel Systems Inc. and served as CTO, and held key technical roles at MITRE, Delfin Systems, and DFL, contributing to critical operations for the US Department of Defense. Dzung Tran holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from The George Washington University and a Bachelor's degree with Magna Cum Laude honors from the University of Maryland.
