David Schmahl is the EVP & Chief Executive Healthcare + Scientific Industry Practice, Technology Industry Practice at SmithBucklin. David has over 25 years of experience in the media and entertainment industries.

David started their career at Procter & Gamble in 1994 as a Senior Project Manager in the Customer Business Development group. David progressed through the ranks and was eventually promoted to the Market Strategy and Planning Group. In 2001, they left Procter & Gamble to join Next Generation Network as Vice President. Next Generation Network was acquired by Regal Entertainment Group in 2002 and David continued to work with Regal Entertainment Group until 2006.

In 2006, David joined SmithBucklin as the EVP & Chief Executive Healthcare + Scientific Industry Practice, Technology Industry Practice. David has been with SmithBucklin for over 14 years and has helped the company grow into one of the largest association management companies in the world.

David Schmahl has a Bachelor's degree from Miami University.
