During this time, they were responsible for designing and developing a fetal heart rate monitor and an 8-channel portable ultrasound system. Goutam gained expertise in FPGA based system design, bio-medical instrumentation, mixed signal circuit design, and hardware debugging and troubleshooting techniques.

Gupta then joined KanhaTech Solutions Ltd., where they served as a Senior Hardware Design Engineer. In this role, they designed and developed products for NFC-based payment applications for Reliance Industries Limited. Goutam designed hardware and firmware for mobile PoS devices, integrated android-based applications with PoS devices and payment gateways, and worked with NFC card readers, magnetic swipe card readers, smart card readers, and Wi-Fi modules.

Afterward, Gupta joined Intel Corporation as a Sr. Engineer in the Intel Client Computing group's Innovation Development Vehicle division. Here, they worked on multiple innovative technologies and usages adopted by All-in-ones and PC segments. Goutam designed and tested motherboards for next-generation portable All-in-one PCs based on Intel's Skylake and Broadwell platforms and collaborated with various ODMs in the China tech ecosystem.

Gupta then worked at Elma Electronic as both a Hardware Architect and a System Architect - AI/ML. As a Hardware Architect, they led the design of MIL STD-qualified rugged small form factor systems for advanced computing, data storage and acquisition, image processing, and network-centric autonomous machines. Goutam also designed a small form factor commercial off-the-shelf modular mission computer integrating NVIDIA CUDA-core accelerated graphics processing, AI/deep learning inference, and edge computing capabilities.

In their role as a System Architect - AI/ML, they created technology architecture for Elma's AI-centric rugged and small form factor designs, enabling next-generation distributed edge computing and signal processing for intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, targeting, electronic warfare, situational awareness, and command and control applications.

Currently, Gupta is a Principal Architect at Smiths Group plc. In this position, they provide technical leadership and guidance to HW and SW development, testing, certification, and data science teams. Goutam collaborates with stakeholders to understand product strategy and business requirements and translates them into scalable, secure, and robust architectural designs that align with strategic objectives.
