David Wilkinson

David Wilkinson is the current Engineering Superintendent at SMS Towage. Prior to their current position, they worked as a 2nd Engineer at Fletcher from February 2017 to December 2018. David also worked as a 1st Engineer at LAFARGE TARMAC MARINE LIMITED from December 2016 to February 2017, and as a Supervisor at MOBILE MARINE SERVICES LIMITED from June 2016 to November 2016. From December 2006 to June 2016, they worked as a 2nd Engineer/Project Engineer at Sealion Shipping Limited, where they were responsible for 2nd Engineer duties, Newbuild supervision, ROV, DP3 DSV's, and MPOCV's. From September 2001 to December 2005, they worked as a 2nd Engineer at Tidewater Marine, and from March 1998 to October 1999, they worked as a 3rd Engineer at Tidewater Marine. David also worked as a 3rd/2nd Engineer at GulfMark Offshore from February 1999 to July 2001, and as an Engineer Cadet at OIL limited/Clyde Marine from September 1995 to September 1998. Prior to their career in engineering, they worked as a Motor Vehicle Technichan at Westways, Mercedes-Benz from July 1992 to September 1995.

David Wilkinson's educational career includes completing a GCSE in Field from Wolfreton School, a National Certificate in Engineering (Motor Vehicle Studies) from Beverley College, a National Certificate in Engineering from South Tyneside College, and an HNC in Engineering from South Tyneside College. David also has certification from the Maritime and Coastguard Agency in High Voltage (management level), KONGSBERG in Diploma Automation Systems K-Chief 700 Maintenance Rbus., SDP Dynamic Positioning Maintenance Course, EPIT in Safe Working Practices for HV Marine Installations, South Tyneside College in Diesel Electric Propulsion, Maritime and Coastguard Agency in Second Engineer Officer 111/2, Business and Technology Education Council in BTEC Higher National Certificate in Engineering, and SCOTVEC in SCOTVEC National Certificate in Engineering.

Their manager is Ronald Keuning, Technical Manager. They work with Chris Smith - Electrical Superintendent, Mathew Biscoe - Vessel Superintendent, and Jan Schreurs - Vessel Superintendent.
