Umberto Baldi

Umberto Baldi is the current General Counsel & Secretary of the Board at Snam. Prior to this, they served as General Counsel at Luxottica from January 2019 to May 2021. From January 2012 to December 2018, they were the General Counsel at FINCANTIERI S.p.A. Baldi started their career as a Partner at Tonucci & Partners from May 2008 to December 2011. Umberto then worked as the General Counsel at Noonday Asset Management LLP from January 2006 to April 2008. In March 2005, they began working at Goldman Sachs as In-house counsel (in secondment) until August 2005. Their career began at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP as an Associate from September 2000 to December 2005.

Umberto Baldi studied law at Columbia University in the City of New York and earned a Master of Laws (LLM). Umberto also studied Giurisprudenza at Sapienza Università di Roma and earned a degree in Giurisprudenza.
