Brent Collins has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Brent started their career at Dominion Energy in 2012, where they worked as a Statistician for five years. In 2012, they also undertook a Masters Thesis at the University of Utah, focusing on methods for optimization and analysis of non-stationary time series data modeling. Since 2017, Brent has been employed at Snap Finance. Initially, they held the position of Sr. Data Scientist, where they were responsible for building and implementing machine learning algorithms and custom machine learning systems for the company's production decisioning software. Currently, they hold the role of Principal Machine Learning Engineer and Principal Data Scientist - Machine Learning at Snap Finance, where they continue to develop and maintain machine learning models, data pipelines, and surrounding systems.
Brent Collins holds a Master's Degree in Statistics from the University of Utah, which they obtained between 2011 and 2013. Brent also completed a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering at the University of Utah from 2015 to 2017. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics from Westminster University, where they studied from 2006 to 2010.
