Nimit Nigania

Nimit Nigania is an accomplished professional in the field of machine learning and GPU optimization. Currently serving as the ML Engineering Lead at Snap Inc. since July 2025, Nimit spearheads ML GPU optimization initiatives. Previously, Nimit worked at Google from February 2019 to July 2025 as a Machine Learning Engineer, focusing on TensorFlow and PyTorch performance on GPUs. From February 2014 to February 2019, Nimit contributed as a GPU Software Engineer at Apple, specializing in GPU modeling. Nimit's earlier roles include Graduate Research Assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology, Graduate Intern and Software Engineer at Intel Corporation, and various research internships in high-performance computing and computer architecture. Nimit holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, along with a BTech in Electrical Engineering from the same institution.
